ERISTAND is a charitable trust set up by the owners of Portland Candle to provide financial support to non-profit organizations that foster the character development of our community’s youth. The trust may also offer high school and college scholarships to young adults that demonstrate exceptional character and an ongoing commitment of service to their community.
Our commitment is to contribute $2 from every carton we sell towards our charitable outreach. Since 2004 over $60,000 annually has been donated to organizations including AWARE, Courts For Kids, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Central Catholic & Seton Catholic High School’s scholarship funds, Medical Teams International, and Young Life. The name of the trust is an acronym for the stable and distinctive values that we strive to model as a business in our community.
